Privacy notice
This notice explains how Yena Health (Pty) Ltd (in formation) handles your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Last updated 16 September 2026.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect your first name, email address, an optional WhatsApp number, your age band, the type of hair loss you describe, your answer on what you would be willing to pay, and the website you signed up from. The hair-loss answer is health-adjacent information, so we treat it as sensitive.
Why we collect it
To contact you when Yena opens, to invite waitlist members in order, and to understand what women need from the service before we launch. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or 24 months after your last contact with us, whichever comes first. Signups are stored on our hosted database with access limited to the Yena team.
Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email info@yena.care with the subject "POPIA request" and we will action it within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Information officer

Not a medical consultation
